The lake is oriented W-E direction, and the hosting marina is located on a peninsula. It is possible to have completely different weather systems on the different sides of the lake, so we have a wide racing area to select the best conditions. The water is shallow, the average depth is 3.5 meters. There are no tides on Lake Balaton.
